Department of Biological Sciences offers the following Bachelor Programs:
Program Name
Biomedicine with Foundation Year (BSC): 4 Years
The BSc Biomedicine with Foundation Year will provide you with the foundational knowledge of biology, chemistry and mathematics you need to successfully embark upon an undergraduate degree. You will also learn generic skills relevant to studying science, including undertaking effective research, collecting and analyzing scientific data and writing experiment reports and essays.
Biomedicine (BSC) 3 Years
Biomedicine is at the interface between molecular, cell and integrative biology and evolving disease therapies, while biomedical research is pivotal in transferring advances in basic science into both effective practices that promote human health and treatments for human diseases. Our BSc Biomedicine will provide you with the knowledge and skills for participation in the biomedical community, either professionally or personally.
Biomedicine with Advanced Pathways (MSCI) 4 Years
Deep insight into the functioning of living systems depends upon a thorough knowledge of the chemical and physical principles that govern the structure and behavior of biomolecules. Structural molecular biology encompasses those areas of science devoted to a detailed understanding of the fundamental molecular and biochemical components of living systems and of how these components interact in the functional (healthy) and dysfunctional (diseased) organism. Such understanding finds application in numerous areas including basic biotechnology, diagnostics and forensics, and drug discovery.
