Sexual Health Studies MSc
*English Proficiency: (IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 101)
On this program you’ll critically evaluate contemporary thinking and its impact upon sexual health knowledge and practice. Compulsory modules explore and evaluate the specific knowledge and skills required for the study of sexual health studies at Master’s level, evaluating underpinning philosophies and relationships which influence evidence-based practice, within sexual health and covering critical thinking, moral reasoning, professionalism and skills development.
Specialist C Public Health Nurse – Health Visiting or School Nursing or Sexual Health Adviser PGDip
This course prepares registered nurses and midwives to meet the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) professional standards for specialist community public health nurses (Health Visiting or School Nursing or Sexual Health Adviser) and is suitable for those who wish to develop a career in public health nursing. The course content will cover the four principles of public health practice and students will be involved in: the search for health needs; the stimulation of awareness of health needs; the influence on policies affecting health; the facilitation of health enhancing activities.
Applied Public Health MSc 15 Months
The MSc in Applied Public Health is an innovative course which provides a relevant and engaging learning experience for anyone whose work includes some responsibility for the determinants of health. The course has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of professionals working to achieve improvements in health. It aims to provide participants with the opportunity to develop the skills required to meet existing and emerging challenges in public health.
