Cancer Biology and Therapy MSc
MSc Cancer Biology and Therapy at UCLan provides specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of basic molecular, genetic and biological processes associated with cancer; with an emphasis on the advances in pathology, diagnosis and therapy. This course is taught by researchers who have published extensively in the field of cancer biology and who have close research links with Brain Tumour North West and the Royal Preston Hospital.

MRes Cancer Biology and Therapy at UCLan aims to provide students with an in depth theoretical and practical knowledge of the biological processes associated with cancer and the development of new therapies. This course is taught by researchers who have published extensively in the field of cancer biology and who have close research links with Brain Tumour North West and Royal Preston Hospital.
Neuroscience MRes
As a student on our MRes program you’ll be taught by internationally-recognised experts in various fields of neuroscience. As active researchers, we undertake wide range of basic and pre-clinical research and this first hand research experience will inform and drive your learning. You will enjoy specialist talks from external expert speakers, hear the latest findings at the Faculty research seminar series and ultimately integrate into the research culture through your extended research project which spans two semesters.
Pharmaceutical Sciences MRes
The MRes (Pharmaceutical Sciences) course at UCLan provides specialist theoretical and practical knowledge of drug development, with the emphasis on the procedure of drug discovery, from target identification through to product marketing.
Additional Requirements
Industrial Pharmaceutics MSc
Our MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutics will allow you to develop a holistic knowledge of the drug development process, including quality control/assurance and regulatory science. It is primarily designed to prepare you for a career in industry or academia. The program will equip you with knowledge in formulations and manufacturing, in addition to the analysis required to check the quality and verify that the medication is meeting the standards of the pharmacopoeia (BP, USP, JP and others).
