The Department of Psychology offers the following Bachelor Programs:
Program Name
Industrial-Organizational Psychology (M.S.)
Prepare for a career in the fast-growing areas of management consulting and human resource management. You’ll study human behavior and effectiveness in the workplace, and learn to manage change, foster productivity, cultivate leadership, promote well-being at work, and more.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation (Certificate)
Through this certificate program, students learn to promote community integration for individuals with mental illness. You’ll focus on evidence-based practices, counseling methods, supported employment, psychopharmacology, consumer empowerment, community resources, supported education, families, stigma, and multicultural and psychosocial issues.
Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (M.S.)
This program teaches future counselors the skills to provide both mental health and rehabilitation service delivery. With this degree, you’ll be equipped to address broad mental health and disability-related issues in clinical settings, with respect for multicultural factors.
Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling with Advanced Standing (M.S.)
Students with up to 15 hours of qualifying graduate-level coursework, including Illinois Tech undergraduates who meet the criteria for regular admission to the master’s program, can complete this degree program in approximately three semesters instead of two years.
Rehabilitation Engineering Technology (Certificate)
This certificate program provides quality pre-service and in-service training to rehabilitation agency personnel anywhere in the United States. These three courses will prepare you to be an expert/consultant in assistive technology used in rehabilitation.
