In addition to a range of long and short courses in fashion and design, the new Firenze school provides an intense programme of studies dedicated to art and encompassing History of Art, Art ‘Management’ and Visual Multimedia Art. The Florentine school is on the one hand characterised by the support of professors who are both professionals and highly specialized technicians in the ‘art of making’, and on the other by collaboration with an important French institution in the field of art teaching, the renowned Atelier de Sèvres (for Art courses). About Program
Discover the key technical skills and theoretical concepts related to two of the most important profiles in the fashion industry: fashion design and product management. The roles of designer and product manager are both carved from a solid base in fashion design: from illustration and design, to prototype, planning and development. These highly sought after professional profiles work irrevocably side by side, in every sector of the industry including womenswear, menswear, children swear, accessories, and footwear design etc. Studying on a limited time frame, this intensive course provides participants with a unique opportunity to discover both aspects of the industry, providing key fashion design skills, and a fundamental insight into developing fashion collections for manufacturers, retailers, or individual brands. This dynamic course also focuses on the influence of sustainability and ethical issues in garment design, manufacturing and production; vitally important issues within the industry today, with companies from fast fashion to luxury brands expanding the area of corporate responsibility. Throughout the course participants are encouraged to develop their own individual ‘visual language’, expressing their style through professional presentation methods and via a final portfolio of designs, and development support materials such as ‘tech packs’. With key fashion design and product development skills participants are ready to move forward in the fashion design and luxury industries.
