About Jönköping University
Jönköping University is a young professional-oriented university characterized by a high degree of internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive collaboration with surrounding society. It is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. Jönköping University has around 12,000 students, of which 2,400 are international students. The university is one of the top universities in international student exchange and among the best in Sweden in terms of attracting international students. Campus has a truly international and academic environment with students and staff from all parts of the world. Both within education and research, Jönköping University has a close cooperation with business and society. Jönköping University is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. About Program
Global Management is a program specially designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to become an effective leader in diverse business contexts and varied intercultural settings. The program acknowledges that contemporary markets are increasingly complex and dynamic in terms of culture and demand, that information and communication are crucial for success, and that social responsibility for sustainability and corporate entrepreneurship are crucial. Here, you will develop the skills required to become a business leader, but also skills for other organizational roles, for example, when leading projects. Through group and project-oriented work you fine tune your planning and collaboration skills, and experience intercultural relations. Courses focus on leadership, corporate social responsibility, family business management and corporate entrepreneurship. All courses are given in English. The program is open to students from around the world, and courses have a diverse international participation of students. This international atmosphere contributes to a broad perspective of the issues discussed in class. The autumn semester of the second year offers plenty of options to specialize your degree. Either by studying abroad at one of JIBS’ recommended partner schools, or by taking elective courses of your choice at JIBS, which also allows you to do an internship in another country. There are a wide range of careers you may pursue after graduation, such as: project leader, change manager, international business developer, or head of operations. The program also prepares students for doctoral research education.
