About Program
Monroe’s Hospitality Management associate degree program covers the basics of the industry, including room division, food and beverage, and travel and tourism, all with an emphasis on communication skills. It is highly recommended that graduates go on to pursue a bachelor degree in hospitality in order to accelerate advancement in the industry. Managing a restaurant or lodging operation, customer relations, and basic accounting principles are all essential to success in the hospitality industry. This program also includes several liberal arts electives and the opportunity to do an internship.

Monroe’s on-campus restaurant, The Dining Lab, is run entirely by students, from the front of the house to the kitchen. You can also intern in our student-run café, The Pastry Kiosk.
