About Rīga Stradiņš University
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has been recognized as the best university with the highest reputation in Latvia, gaining the highest rating among the 10 largest universities in Latvia according to a study of the reputation of Latvian universities conducted by market research company Kantar TNS in 2018. RSU has received the title of Export Champion at the Export and Innovation Awards which the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia organizes together with the Ministry of Economics. Rīga Stradiņš University uses a modern quality improvement approach to ensuring high study and research quality, focused on continuous improvement and development of the University in pursuit of excellence. Quality policy is based upon the strategy and values of the University and it includes three basic principles: a student-centered approach, partnership and quality. In 2002 Rīga Stradiņš University was the first institution of higher education in Latvia to certify a quality management system in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001. In October 2017 the quality management system of Rīga Stradiņš University was recertified in accordance with standard ISO 9001:2015, which confirms that as a result of the joint work of its employees and students the University has been continuously improving, developing its management system, striving for excellence and enhancing the quality of education, continuing to integrate into the single European Higher Education Area.
About Program
The program’s content is based on real economics and business. Over the course of six semesters students will progressively develop knowledge, skills and competencies in international business and start-up economics and management. Regarding how the program’s content is presented, equal attention is given to how knowledge is delivered and co-produced as well as to how courses are formatted. This includes activities outside classes and seminars in the real business and economic management environment and relating different courses to one another (for example how math’s is used in business, or how to use communication skills to sell business ideas to investors).
