About Jönköping University
Jönköping University is a young professional-oriented university characterized by a high degree of internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive collaboration with surrounding society. It is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. Jönköping University has around 12,000 students, of which 2,400 are international students. The university is one of the top universities in international student exchange and among the best in Sweden in terms of attracting international students. About Program
This program is unique in that it offers a cross-disciplinary education, combining the core topics of logistics and supply chain management with informatics, and economic geography. You gain deep theoretical knowledge and understanding of the supply chain network and its development, as well as of the tools needed to analyze, develop and change such supply chains. There is a strong connection between theory and practice and you will enjoy continuous and constructive exposure to practice, exchange with practitioners, and insights from the faculty’s internationally recognized research. Students are also introduced to real-life cases and participate in company visits. All courses are given in English. The program is open to students from around the world, and courses have a diverse international participation of students. This international atmosphere contributes to a broad perspective of the issues discussed in class. The autumn semester of the second year offers plenty of options to specialize your degree either by studying abroad at one of JIBS’ recommended partner schools, or by taking elective courses of your choice at JIBS, which includes the opportunity to do an internship – either in Sweden or abroad. The strong focus and cross-disciplinary nature of the program prepare you for an international career in the areas of supply chain management and logistics and equip you with the skills for a career such as procurement officer, logistics manager, supply chain manager, product manager, marketing manager/director. The program also prepares students for doctoral research education.
