About Jönköping University
Jönköping University is a young professional-oriented university characterized by a high degree of internationalization, an entrepreneurial spirit and extensive collaboration with surrounding society. It is one of three Swedish private, non-profit institutions of higher education with the right to award doctorates. Jönköping University has around 12,000 students, of which 2,400 are international students. The university is one of the top universities in international student exchange and among the best in Sweden in terms of attracting international students. Campus has a truly international and academic environment with students and staff from all parts of the world. Both within education and research, Jönköping University has a close cooperation with business and society. About Program
International Marketing is a program that develops your ability to address contemporary marketing challenges, including digitalization, globalization, and the rapid rate of market change. The program has an emphasis on practice through course activities with corporate interaction combined with theoretical depth. During the year you will study topics ranging from the behavior of consumers to the nature of the global economy. For example, you will become engaged in discussions about how consumers relate to and affect each other, how digital media influence planned communications, and how export is managed. Courses focus on consumer behavior, market research, marketing communications, international marketing and export, and globalization of economic activity. The course contents mirror contemporary research and the situation companies experience right now. All courses are given in English and the program is open to students from around the world. This international atmosphere contributes to a broad perspective of the issues discussed in class. The program prepares you for an executive career in marketing, taking on positions such as marketing manager, export manager/consultant, or international account manager. The program also prepares students for doctoral research education.
