With campuses throughout the Greater Toronto Area, Seneca’s size and diversity give students the advantage of partnerships with industry leaders, the latest in hands-on computer technology, a variety of class sizes, and full-time, part-time and continuing education options. Education should be flexible and accessible, so Seneca also employs various methods of teaching – from in-class lectures and online learning to co-op and field placements – in programs related to applied arts, business, financial services and technology.
In this four-year degree program, you will learn to assess, design, evaluate and implement therapeutic interventions for future clients. Therapeutic interventions are activities designed to achieve outcomes in the physical, psychological, social, cognitive and spiritual domains. As a student of this program, you will gain essential knowledge and expertise in various health disciplines such as health sciences, recreation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and psychology. In semesters six and eight, you will have the opportunity to select professional stream options to increase your knowledge in a specialized area and gain an added advantage in the workplace. In Canada, the health care system has moved towards an interdisciplinary team approach, therefore, as a graduate of this program, you will be working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, psychologists and other therapists in the workforce.
