About University West

University West is a modern university offering programs in close collaboration with working life in an attractive and modern study environment. The university has about 15,000 students and 625 employees. The university campus is centrally located in the town of Trollhättan close to cinemas, restaurants and sport facilities, but also to beautiful landscapes. The campus is constructed with the students’ needs in focus. The international atmosphere is informal and dynamic. University West is founded on the principle that knowledge is acquired everywhere, not just in universities. Integrating work situation into study programs so called Work Integrated Learning exemplifies the important relationship between the university and the outside world. About Program

Policies and political decisions – made at local and international levels – form and influence the social, economic and environmental world we live in. The focus of your program is how to affect societal change through applied studies of political challenges. Conduct research in direct collaboration with surrounding society and hold an internship to move your career forward during your two-year master’s program. A collaboration between University West in Sweden and University of the Western Cape in South Africa, your program is truly international.
