    Si pjesëmarrës i programit Summer Work and Travel, nuk ju lejohet të punoni në fushën e mjekësisë; përkujdesjes së fëmijëve , të moshuarve apo në profesionet që kërkojnë kontakt fizik edhe me përbërës kimikë; transportit të njerëzve; punët që kërkojnë liçencë për ushtrim të profesionit; punët në oraret 10.00pm-06.00am; punët në të cilat nuk ka rëndësi shkëmbimi kulturor dhe punët jo-sezonale. Ju mund të punoni pothuajse në çdo sektor tjetër duke marrë më parë aprovimin nga sponsori ose nga Tandek. Studentët e huaj, punojnë më shumë në industrinë e hotelerisë dhe turizmit si recepsionist, asistent, mirëmbajtje, housekeeping; në restorante si kuzhinier, kamarier, ndihmës kamarier, host dhe hostess; në dyqane si cashier; në plazhe dhe pishina si roje bregdetare (lifeguard apo baywatch) si dhe në shumë punë të tjera interesante.
